Temple Owls’ commitment to Philadelphia is deep, and hundreds of student-athletes take time out of their intense schedules to give back to the Philadelphia community. The men’s and women’s tennis teams have been leaders at one of the country’s oldest urban rescue missions for the past three seasons. Men’s and women’s cross-country teams staffed the 2014 Philadelphia Marathon. Student-athletes from all sports are plugged into the city by mentoring local youths, cheering on Special Olympians, offering neighborhood sports clinics and much more.
